This is what we are turning into.

I think I just now realized today just how stupid some people can really be. It amazes me at what some people will buy without even thinking about it. Whats worse is that I can’t tell if it some kind of status symbol or just plain old stupidity.

I am talking about bottled water. And not just any bottled water, I’m talking about four dollar a bottle bottled water. Story time kids. I’m on my way to work and realize that I left my water jug at home. No big problem since there is a 7-11 not to far out of the way. I can just stop and pick one up there. I go in and grab a bottle of Palomar drinking water since its cheap and water. As I’m doing this I notice the price of another brand of water. Three dollars and ninety five cents.

Who the fuck would pay four dollars for a bottle of water? I even looked it over. There was nothing special that I could see about it. It wasn’t enriched with vitamins and minerals like other brands would claim they are (to which I call bullshit, If you need to put that into your water then you need to look into a better diet). I must have stood in that store looking at that bottle for five minutes just trying to figure out what was so damn great about it. It was then that I realized that was nothing at all special about it. It was the same water that I was holding in my hand for eighty-five cents compared to its four dollars. That got me thinking even more. Really now who buys this stuff and why?

I think I have figured out this mystery. Looking through crappy magazines at my insurance place today I noticed something. The same water that I was looking at earlier was in the hands of these major celebraties. This just re-enforces the fact that people are sheep. They will look at the sheep in-front of them and follow them blindly into the night. I look around at gas prices. The cheapest around where I live is three dollars and eleven cents per gallon. These people are willing to pay four dollars dollars for a liter of water. Something that can be bought for twenty-five cents per gallon if you have your own jug.

This brings me to my predictions about the future of our pop culture and society. We are going to turn into a clone society. Each and every person is going to look and act the same. They are going to buy the same clothing, food and housing just because everyone else is doing it as well. It’s starting already. Look at any housing development. Hundreds of homes that look the exact same. Cookie cutter house i believe its called. Every window and door placed the same. Every blade of grass is perfectly placed to match the rest of the lawns around it.

And its all thanks to the people who are dumb enough to buy four dollar water. We have them to blame for all the problems that we will have soon. Just like the baby boomers are ruining things now so shall you ruin thinks after they are gone. Fuck you people and your sheepy ways.
